Research interests:

I am a sedimentologist and work on the tectono-sedimentary evolution of basins in Turkey. I use a process-oriented approach (description of facies) coupled with several laboratory techniques in order to understand the depositional environments and basin evolution.

I also work on different Quaternary depositional environments (moraines, fluvial terraces, alluvial fans, deltas) and use cosmogenic nuclides to date related deposits. I am mostly concentrated on the study of glacial landscapes in order to understand paleoclimatic and paleoenvironmental changes since the Last Glacial Maximum.
