Research interests:

The main research topics of mine are Tectonic Geomorphology and Quaternary Geology especially along the margins of the Anatolian Plateau. In fact, I am interested in everything that has impact on the earth surface. Geospatial technologies, geomorphic mapping, morphometric analysis and radiometric dating techniques (e.g. Cosmogenic, OSL, U-Th and 14C) are at the hypocenter of my studies. I intensely employ tools of fluvial, coastal and glacial geomorphology to understand climate-tectonic interaction. Currently, I have been involved in the projects associated with surface exposure dating of normal fault scarps in the southwestern Turkey (Datça Peninsula), geochronology of the alluvial fans along the Ecemiş Fault (Central Anatolia), geomorphology and cosmogenic dating of paleo-glacials on the Central Taurides (Southern Turkey) and climatic and tectonic hazards in the Central Pontides (northern Turkey) and coseismic deformation along the Mediterranean Coasts (Southern Turkey and Cyprus).
